What You'll Learn
You'll start with the beginner skills like understanding Excel's jargon, adding a brand new pivot table, dragging and dropping variables into the four-box structure, and making sure all the prerequisites are met.
Next, you'll practice intermediate skills like making sure your pivot tables update when you add more rows/columns to your dataset; adjusting the Options; and applying custom sorting and layouts.
I know you'll love the advanced skills, like showing counts, sums, averages, and/or percentages; using formulas alongside your pivot tables; finding patterns with conditional formatting; and linking pivot charts, timelines, and slicers to create dynamic dashboards.
You'll practice with two additional case studies, too. The first case study is about closed-ended and open-ended survey responses.
The second case study is about project tracking (so that you can practice using Excel Tables, pivot tables, pivot charts, slicers, and timelines for datasets with one row per project / grantee / grant).

She earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a Master’s degree from George Mason University.
After traveling full-time as a digital nomad, Ann now resides in Florida along with her husband and five children.
